KUCHING: International Sports Federation of Thailand (ISF) and Malaysian Ladies Golf Association (Malga) gol fers continued to dominate the 13th Sarawak Chief Minister’s Cup International Junior Gol f Championshi p at Sarawak Golf Club (KGS) yesterday.
ISF took the lead in four boys’ and one girls’categories as play entered the second day.
The outstanding Thai player was 10 -year-old Thongpipat Rattanayanon who kept the score low, shooting a seven-under 65 yesterday and 72 on Tuesday for a two-day 137 total to lead Boys D by a massive 22 strokes.
Second in this category was Andre Chong of Keppel Club, Singapore (85, 74) while Kelab Golf Miri’s Malcolm Ting was third on 164.
In the Boys Special that saw only two players, Chakraghorn Jullamon maintained his lead by carding a 86 yesterday for a twoday 165 total. His day one score was 79.
Finishing 14 strokes behind him was Yoo Dae Hee from Sarawak Junior Golf First Association. In Boys B, KGM’s Jordan Jude Tay pounced on day one leader Thanakorn Torsee Frank of ISF when he carded an 81yesterday to add to his first day’s 83 for a 164 total to share the lead with the Thai.
Thanakorn carded an 85 on the opening day and a 79 yesterday. Jordan Tsan, now third with a 165 (81, 84), also has a chance to overtake the joint leaders in the third round today. In fourth and fifth spots were Kim Bunjin (KGS) with 170 and another Thai Aran Sinawiat with 172.

The Boys C leader was ISF’s Kittiporn Javanapong who scored 78, 83 for a161 total to lead the fi eld by six strokes.
Second was team mate Psitchai Thippong on 167 (83, 84) while KGS’ Immanuel David was four shots further back in third spot with Aziel Teo of KGS (182) and Nicholas Chong of KGM (188) fi nishing fourth and fi fth.
Paul San Weng Yau f rom Malaysian Golf Association took over the lead in Boys A as fi rst day leader Nicklaus Chiam Yew Chun faltered to end up in seventh spot with a158 total (73, 85).
San returned a 72 yesterday to add to his Tuesday’s 74 for a 146 total — two strokes ahead of club mate M Afi f M Razif (74, 74) while KGM’s Malcolm Adam Tay fi nished third on 150 (76, 74).
In fourth and fifth spots were ISF’s Natchapol Srinoon (152) and KGM’s Jordan Lim Ming Soon (153).
Meanwhile, Diana Tham Shen Yen from Malga is assured of the Girls Special title as the only player in the event.
Her two-day total was 170 (86, 84). Malga’s Aretha Pan Herng led Girls A with a total 161 – 12 strokes ahead of closest rival Rachel Lim Rui Jia of Warren Golf and Country Club, Singapore.
Third on 186 was ISF’s Thayanee Boonriya and Marie Elizabeth Chapman of KGS was fourth with 192. Malga also led Girls D through Winnie Ng Yu Xuan with a 168 total (87, 81).
Natasha Andrea Oon from Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia, Selangor was two strokes further back. The third to fifth spots were occupied by ISF’s Rina Tatematsu (174), Vanessa Khoo Qi Lin of Seletar Country Club, Singapore (176) and KGM’s Eliza Mae Kho (202).
In Girls B, Loy Hou Ying of MGA, with a two-day 160 (84, 76), is set to lift the title as she led the pack with a massive 15 strokes ahead of ISF’s Jidapha Viravadiya. In third to fifth spots were Kelie Kan of MGA (175), Malga’s Tham Soot Yuet (185) and KGM’s Kimberly Nelson (185).
Pajaree Anannarukarn of ISF also held a commanding 13-stroke lead in Girls C with her 160 total (78, 82). Ashley Lau Wen Jen of Kelab Golf Bintulu who returned 81, 92 was in second place with Aishley Loh Leanne (Seletar Country Club) third on 178.
The fourth and fifth finishers were Nur Aini Azman from Malga (180) and KGM’s Aletha Cordlia Alphonsus on 188. A total of 8 2 gol fers from Malaysia , Singapore and Thailand are taking part in the Championship.
